Lighting can have an emotional aspect to it. Take a look at the lighting of the two figures in Figure 7.25. Even thought they are the exact same model from the exact same point of view, the figure on the left looks almost spooky compared to the one on the right. This is because the figure on the left has a light source coming from underneath, while the light source for the one on the right is coming from above. The mood of the scene is changed simply by changing the direction of the light source.
