Here is an example of a very confusing scene. Too many Irees create a diversion that cuts the scene in sections. The artist eliminated most of the trees along the road to avoid cutting the drawing in half. He left a few trees in the background around the house. The artist felt the road would look more interesting if it was going over a hill, than just left
flat. He left the posts along the road to bring the viewer's eye into the picture. The posts and the fence give the scene some movement in the foreground. An interesting perspective problem results; the house on the right is below eye level, while the rest of the drawing is eye level or above. This area was minimized since it would look too confusing otherwise.
