DISTRESS: INNER BROW END SLANTS UPWARD
The inner end of the eyebrow can be very expressive emotionally. If it drops down below a certain point (see p. 66), it indicates one sort of emotional state. If it moves above a certain point, it indicates distress. What separates these is the relationship of the inner third of the brow to the outer two-thirds. Ordinarily, the inner third lies either level with or below the rest of the eyebrow. If it moves even slightly above the rest of the eyebrow, the eye looks distressed.
